DC Entertainment Is Launching ARROW and THE FLASH Digital Comics

The CW’s Arrow and The Flash are receiving all new digital comics this Fall. DC comics has announced Arrow: Season 2.5 and The Flash: Season 0. The comics will fit into each show’s timeline giving fans a look at what goes on when the shows are not on the air.

First reported by TV GuideArrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim will write the comic alongside fellowArrow writer Keto Shimizu. “It will take us from the end of season two right up to the beginning of season three,” Guggenheim told TV Guide. “We’ve tried to put in all the elements that people like about the show, so there will be Oliver and Felicity banter. We’re going to see what’s happened to Detective Lance after he collapsed in the season finale. A good chunk of the burning questions left over will get answered in the tie-in comic.”

As for The Flash, showrunner Andrew Kreisberg will write the series with help from co-writers Brooke Eikmeier and Katherine Walczak and art by Phil Hester and Eric Gapstur. “Flash: Season Zero takes place between the pilot and episode two,” Kreisberg told TV Guide. “Barry will [already] be the Flash, he will have his team, everyone will be in that world, and we’ll introducing a new set of villains that we won’t be seeing on the TV show. It’ll feel like the same heart, humor and spectacle that you get watching Flash.”

Arrow: Season 2.5 will release its first chapter September 1, 2014 and The Flash: Season 0’s first chapter will come out September 8, 2014. Both series will be available in print in October.
