Find out who Jack Kesy will likely be playing in DEADPOOL 2!

Deadpool delightfully shocked fans across the world last year when the raunchy Merc With The Mouth sliced his way across screens to save his girlfriend, Vanessa, from the villainous Ajax, the man who originally mutilated him and turned him into a wild antihero. Now, Deadpool has a new villain to face off against in next year’s sequel!

Jack Kesy (The Strain, Baywatch) has been cast as Deadpool’s next nemesis. Though the studio has yet to confirm his role, Deadline says insider sources suggest he’ll play Thomas Cassidy aka Black Tom, a black sheep Irish mutant who stood in opposition of the X-Men and frequently fought Deadpool in the comics. The villain can control plant life and more importantly, wooden objects, using them to project energy and send concussive shockwaves through the area.

Deadpool 2 already cast the title character’s newest ally, Cable, with whom he shared a short comic run. He’ll be played by Josh Brolin. On top of star Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, the film will also see the return of Colossus (Stefan Kapicic), Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), and Blind Al (Leslie Uggams).

The film is set to hit theaters on June 1, 2018.
