FXX has ordered a DEADPOOL animated TV series with Donald Glover and Stephen Glover tied to it the series.
If you refused to bring your kid to see Deadpool in theaters, then most likely you won’t want your kid to watch this animated version of the character. FXX has ordered an adult animated TV version of Deadpool from the collaborative minds of Donald Glover and his brother, writer Stephen Glover.
Marvel TV chief Jeph Loeb seems thrilled about the series already, especially since they already have the successful Legion series under FX.
“We’re thrilled that our relationship with FX that started with Legion continues with what is sure to be a groundbreaking show in adult animation.”
And FX programming president Nick Grad isn’t complaining about it, either.
“Donald Glover is an incredibly gifted and versatile artist who’ll bring the untitled Marvel’s Deadpool series to life with the same intense, singular vision as his breakout hit Atlanta. With the success of Legion, we’re looking forward to again partnering with Marvel Television to create a series that is bold, striking and entirely original.”
It should be fun to watch, as Archer has been to many fans. With Donald behind it, it’s already got clout. Though Glover already has made a name for himself with FX’s Atlanta, winning several awards, he’s also got roles in Spider-Man: Homecoming, the Han Solo standalone movie to play a young Lando Calrissian to Alden Ehrenreich’s Han, and the live-action version of The Lion King. Plus, the second season of Atlanta is tentatively scheduled to air sometime early 2018.
