WONDER WOMAN gets adorably awkward with an alternate take on the boat scene!
Wonder Woman is hitting DVD soon and with the home video release comes plenty of teasers for the special features inside!
One such special feature is an alternate version of the boat scene, during which Diana and Steve Trevor get to know each other on their trip from Themyscira to England. After Diana mentions her creation at the hands of Zeus, things get amusing as normal human procreation and all the comes with it is brought into the conversation.
The scene was largely ab-libbed by Gal Gadot and Chris Pine, so there were plenty of different versions floating around. Check out one such version below!
“She has to be the straight woman, that’s the hardest part,” he said. “She’s delivering lines like ‘My father is Zeus’ — s— that is just so ridiculous,” Chris Pine told Entertainment Weekly, who first shared the alternate scene. “And she has to say it with a straight face, with a certain amount of innocence and earnestness. I get to react like any human being would to hearing something as ridiculous as that. So I had it easy.”
It’s easy to see why this version of the scene wasn’t the chosen take: Both actors are still playing around with their delivery, the conversation rhythm isn’t quite as steady, and it doesn’t have the same quirky feel as the take ultimately used in the film.
Wonder Woman is available not in Digital HD. It hits Blu-ray and DVD on September 19, 2017.
