WRECK-IT RALPH 2 will bring more gaming chaos to the big screen in less than two years!
Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph was adventure, nostalgia, and a heartwarming story of acceptance wrapped into one candy-coated package. Now, the famous studio is ready to bring Ralph and his friends back to the big screen for Wreck-It Ralph 2!
Directors Rich Moore and Phil Johnston joined up with actor John C. Reilly, who voices Ralph, to make the announcement via Facebook Live.
According to the directors, the sequel will take Ralph and Vanellope on a trip through a new, modern technological experience: The Internet.
“From the moment we started working on the first ‘Wreck-It Ralph,’ we knew there were so many possibilities with these characters. This time, Ralph’s wrecking wreaks havoc on the Web—as only he can do,” said director Rich Moore.
The directors confirmed that the original voice cast will all be returning for the project.
John C. Reilly, who just happened to be “looking for a cup of coffee” during the video also piped in with his excitement.
“Ralph is a character very near and dear to my heart. I’m really looking forward to playing the big lug again. Making the first ‘Wreck-It Ralph’ was one of the most special experiences I’ve ever had and I’m really looking forward to bringing him back to life,” the actor said.
Wreck-It Ralph 2 is set to hit theaters on March 9, 2018.
