Two fan-favorite secondary Marvel characters are teaming up for a show!
Captain America’s two best buddies will be teaming up for their own show when Disney’s streaming service launches.
Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan are boarding a 6-to-8 episode series following Falcon and The Winter Soldier on their own adventures. The series will be written by Empire scribe Malcolm Spellman and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will be involved with its creation, according to Deadline.
Details remain under wraps, but with heavy hints at Captain America’s death in Avengers 4, we could see Steve Roger’s friends learning to work together in the wake of his passing. Sam Wilson aka Falcon does take up the mantle of Captain America after Steve’s death in the comics, after all.
The announcement marks the third Marvel original for the service after it revealed solo shows for Loki and Scarlet Witch are in development back in September.
The Disney Streaming Service is due to launch sometime in late 2019.
