Disney Star Options Rights To YA Drama THE FALL OF INNOCENCE

Andi Mack star Sofia Wylie may only be 15-years-old, but the Disney starlet is making some serious entrepreneurial moves. She just launched her own production company, AIFOS Productions, and optioned a YA novel for the banner’s first major project.

AIFOS’ big acquirement is Jenny Torres Sanchez‘s The Fall of Innocence, which follows a teen named Emilia who struggles to regain her sense of self years after her abduction and abuse.

In a statement to Deadline, Sofia Wylie talks about her love for the book:

“Jenny’s book was so emotionally riveting that I knew I had to bring this story to life somehow. Through my company – AIFOS Productions, and in connection with author Jenny Torres Sanchez, I will have the opportunity to embody Emilia’s character and storyline – a beautifully told and authentic story of unbearable pain, tragedy, and healing.”

Author Jenny Torres Sanchez shared her joy on Twitter:

There’s no word whether or not Wylie will actually star in the project or if she’s simply just producing.

We’ll keep you updated as more details become available. In the meantime, check out our review of The Fall of Innocence and order the book via Amazon or Indiebound.
