INSIDE OUT is screening at Cannes Film Festival and Disney is celebrating with a new clip!
Riley is feeling a lot of emotions as she moves to a new town with her family, but she doesn’t realize just why. Disney’s INSIDE OUT explores the emotions inside Riley’s head as they try to cooperate and navigate her safety through the changes in her life, but it’s not an easy process and there are troubles along the way.
The anticipated animated feature caught the eye of the Cannes Film Festival, which will feature the film as part of its very competition celebrating all things movies!
To celebrate, Disney has released a new clip from INSIDE OUT in which Riley’s emotions discuss the various purposes they serve in keeping their charge happy, safe, strong, and level-headed. But there’s one particular emotion, Sadness, whose purpose in Riley’s “headquarters” is a total mystery to everyone.
Director Pete Docter is thrilled for the film’s inclusion at the major international festival:
“We are overjoyed at being included in this year’s official selection at Cannes. With ‘Inside Out,’ we spent years imagining – and then building – never-before-seen settings and characters within the mind. It was an incredible, fun and exciting challenge and now we can’t wait to share it with the world.”
Docter will be joined by co-director Ronnie del Carmen, producer Jonah Rivera, and the several members of the voice cast for a panel at the festival.
