Disney/Pixar Releases Cut Scene Explaining The Origins of TOMORROWLAND

The origins of TOMORROWLAND are revealed in a new Pixar-produced scene cut from the film!

The secret about TOMORROWLAND is out! The scientific utopian universe that the film revolves around was established by a group called Plus Ultra, whose founding fathers included Thomas Edison, Jules Verne, Nikola Tesla, and Gustave Eiffel. While we get a brief explanation of this in the movie, the origins of TOMORROWLAND were originally meant to have a much bigger reveal.

Disney worked with Pixar to create an animated sequence explaining how Plus Ultra and TOMORROWLAND came to be, similar to how animated sequences have been used for exposition in films like HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 1. The scene was meant to appear when Frank (George Clooney) goes through the trap door in the “It’s A Small World” ride, but filmmakers ultimately chose to cut the scene. But now you can watch it online!

We thoroughly enjoyed this as an extra scene, but we see how to would have distracted from the rest of the film.

TOMORROWLAND is in theaters now!
