BIG HERO 6 is the best animated feature of the year.
… At least according to The Academy!
BIG HERO 6 was the surprise winner in the Best Animated feature category at last night’s 87th Academy Awards ceremony!
Disney’s entry into the race was up against THE BOXTROLLS, HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2, SONG OF THE SEAS, and THE TALE OF PRINCESS KAGUYA.
This year, the Best Animated Feature has been a controversial one: THE LEGO MOVIE, which was considered a top contender, was never even nominated. Of the remaining nominated films, HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2 was considered the sure winner by most predictions.
Still, BIG HERO 6 was a fun, enjoyable family film and we’re glad to see it do well!
