Disney’s Live-Action MULAN Sets Release Date

MULAN fast-tracked for live-action remake at Disney!

Ready or not, the live-action version of Mulan is coming in 2018.

The Disney film has yet to announce a director and hasn’t even begun its planned global casting search to find a young Chinese girl to take on the title role, but the studio expects to have the movie ready and out into the world on November 2, 2018.

The film is one of several planned live-action adaptations from Disney. The films include Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson and a newly announced live-action/CGI take on The Lion King from The Jungle Book director Jon Favreau.

The studio will be releasing a slew of other titles in 2018, including Toy Story 4, Wreck-It Ralph 2, and Gigantic, as well as Ant-Man And The Wasp, Black Panther, and Avengers: Infinity War under its Marvel banner. So basically, just prepare for Disney to take all your money that year.

The animated musical version of Mulan was originally released in 1998.
