Dylan O’Brien is serious in new MAZE RUNNER: THE SCORCH TRIALS photo
In the new Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials photo, we see that Dylan O’Brien is serious about something, but we don’t know what.
As you can see by this image, Thomas (played by O’Brien) and some of the other gladers, in addition to Aris (Jacob Lofland) in the background, are looking rather weary and distraught.
The last we saw them, they had just escaped from the confines of the Glade and were being led out of the city-wide maze by WCKD to some sort of safe haven. But if you’ve seen the trailer, you know that’s short-lived and they find themselves out in the Scorch.
In this next chapter of the epic “Maze Runner” saga, Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) and his fellow Gladers face their greatest challenge yet: searching for clues about the mysterious and powerful organization known as WCKD. Their journey takes them to the Scorch, a desolate landscape filled with unimaginable obstacles. Teaming up with resistance fighters, the Gladers take on WCKD’s vastly superior forces and uncover its shocking plans for them all.
I really can’t wait to see this sequel to The Maze Runner. Both The Maze Runner and Scorch Trials are directed by Wes Ball. This is what he has to say about Thomas:
“His character is responsible for taking the kids and fleeing the maze at great cost,” says returning director Wes Ball. “A lot of people died, some of them his best friends. And he might be marching these kids again into dangerous situations. So Thomas has a lot of guilt resting on his shoulders.”
