Edgar Wright to Direct Adaptation of Andrew Smith’s GRASSHOPPER JUNGLE

Director Edgar Wright may have dropped out of ANT-MAN, but he’s pretty excited about grasshoppers!

Edgar Wright

Wright has signed on to direct the adaptation of Andrew Smith’s GRASSHOPPER JUNGLE, the story of Austin Szeba and his best friend, Robby, who accidentally started up the apocalypse in the form of six-foot tall praying mantises. It may sound a bit outlandish, but the book has lots of strong themes about love, acceptance, and the state of humanity through the eyes of a small town in Iowa. The film will be based off a script by Simon Rosenberg.
