Elizabeth Banks has officially ended her duties as the most beloved Capitol escort ever, Effie Trinket in THE HUNGER GAMES series, she revealed while promoting her new film. She called the end of her filming days on the MOCKINGJAY set “heartbreaking”:
“I just wrapped playing Effie Trinket,” Banks says, “and that was heartbreaking for me. She was one of my all-time-favourite characters that I’ve played.” That would be the kooky-yet-effervescent escort to the District 12 tributes in The Hunger Games and its two sequels.
It’s likely that Elizabeth is not the only major actor to have already wrapped their filming for the series, but she’s the only one to announce it thusfar.
