Emma Stone as Cruella de Vil!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Emma Stone is in negotiations to play villain Cruella de Vil in Disney’s Cruella, an origin story.
Kelly Marcel is penning the script for the live action re-imaging of the iconic 101 Dalmatians character. Andrew Gunn is producing and Jessica Virtue and Kristin Burr will oversee it for the studio.
Cruella de Vil is the villain of the 1961 Disney classic 101 Dalmatians who becomes obsessed with making a fur coat out of Dalmatian puppies. I definitely can see Emma Stone in this role and look forward to seeing what they come up with for this film. The studio hopes to begin shooting the film later this year.
