And the hunt for Clary is on…

Entertainment Weekly released our first look into the last half and final season of Shadowhunters. As a reminder, we ended the prior season with an explosion of a cliffhanger, quite literally, leaving the fates of both Clary (Katherine McNamara) and Jonathan (Will Tudor) unknown. We basically had the same faces that Jace and Simon did in the aftermath.

Don’t worry though, showrunners Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer tell EW that these characters will return to the Mortal Instruments-based series. It’s safe to say then that Clary and Jonathan somehow survive their fall. We just don’t know how.

Which is why in this first look photo, we see Jace (Dominic Sherwood) and Luke (Isaiah Mustafa) doing everything they can to find out what happened to Clary and Jonathan. Rumor has it though that when they eventually do find Clary, she may not be their Clary.

The hunt for Clary will only be one part of the final season and Slavkin told EW that this final season is the show’s “most adult, most sophisticated run of episodes yet.” Oh man, how are we going to last through the holidays with all this suspense and unknown?

Shadowhunters will return Monday, Feb. 25 on Freeform.
