Get the scoop on EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING from the cast and creators!

It’s officially the month in which Everything, Everything, the movie based on the bestselling YA novel by Nicola Yoon, hits theaters!

The inspirational teen love story follows Maddy, a teen with Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID) aka “bubble baby syndrome” who doesn’t have much contact with teens in the outside world until she forms a from-a-distance friendship with her new neighbor, Olly, which evolves into something worth risking everything for.

EW got the film’s creators, including Amandla Stenberg, Nick Robinson, Ana De La Reguera, Anika Noni Rose, director Stella Meghie, and author Nicola Yoon, together for a Q&A session with fans on Facebook Live. There’s questions on writing, inspiration, romance, and representation in the film with plenty of fun moments, so check it out. Don’t worry, the video flips!

In a separate interview with EW, Amandla Stenberg talked about her mixed race heritage and how a movie like Everything, Everything can help drive love and acceptance without being politically motivated.

“Diversity is something that people desperately want. I’m lucky enough to be here and see what’s happening and take those roles when they do appear … I definitely think it’s important to balance creating content that speaks directly on race and content that doesn’t talk about it all, but it speaks for itself. It can be more powerful to create a film like Everything, Everything and then get distributed to kids in the Midwest who maybe don’t live in very diverse communities and get to see this black girl in the lead, you know? …That’s something that I’ve always believed in. That just existing can be a political act in itself.”

It that isn’t enough awesomeness for you, the film’s official Twitter account just released an adorable video of Amandla and Nick behind-the-scenes!

Everything, Everything hits theaters on May 19, 2017.
