Ever heard of The Katniss Chronicles? Well, if you love The Hunger Games and love reading the books over and over again, you just might want to check out it out!
The Katniss Chronicles is an audio drama based on The Hunger Games series, created by a group of people who love good stories. They’ve have already wrapped up books 1 and 2 and they’re just about ready to release the first episode from book 3, Mockingjay.
Sure the movies are out there, but with this type of media, you can still use your vision of Katniss, Peeta, Gale, and the rest of the characters. It’s enhanced with sound effects and definitely much more detailed than the movies could ever be since, (even with Mockingjay split into 2 movies), complete with extra scenes for additional understanding of the books, and even the actors put on the heavy accents to portray the characters from the areas they live in.
I got a chance to speak with Barbra Dillon, the voice of Katniss in the audio drama. She’s also shares credits as executive producer and producer of the show.
Episode 1 of the drama based on Mockingjay will finally be released tomorrow, June 24, 2014, and you’ll be able to listen to it on their website or subscribe to their channel on iTunes.
