Fans Leave Hilarious Voicemails for Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE fans leave messages for Xavier’s School For Gifted Youngsters!

Just before X-Men: Apocalypse hit theaters last week, 20th Century Fox released a witty in-world advertisement for Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters starring Jubilee, complete with a Stan Lee voice cameo. It also came with a phone number attached at the end and as some enterprising fans discovered, that number lead to a very real voicemail box.

A short message read by Stan Lee told fans to leave their details for the school. Over 75,000 fans called and left all sorts of prank-filled, giggly messages. Now, the studio has rounded up to best of the voicemails to share with the whole world!

For such a serious movie, it’s great to see a little humor and fan participation element injected into the advertising campaign!

X-Men: Apocalypse is now in theaters.

Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
