News from 20th Century Fox came Thursday afternoon stating some schedule changes from a few of it’s films, changes that obviously are meant to hopefully gain the same success as a few of this year’s franchises.
One is Fantastic Four, which was originally scheduled to be release in theaters on June 16, 2015, but now has been pushed back to August 7, 2015.
You know what other Marvel movie came out in August and has so far claimed the biggest gross for this year? Yep, I Am Groot! I mean, Guardians of the Galaxy. So, it’s an understandable reason that Fox has decided to follow in the same footsteps as that crazy crew with their own crazy crew of superheroes.
Fantastic Four stars Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell, and Michael B. Jordan as the superhero team, and Toby Kebbell (who was brilliantly cast in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) will don the Doctor Doom mask.
With that in mind, the same can be said about next year’s John Green adapted novel, Paper Towns. Considering the popularity The Fault in Our Stars was just a few months ago, it’s again no surprise that Paper Towns would be moved to around the same release time frame as the weepie hit – Paper Towns, which will star Nat Wolff as Quentin Jacobsen and Cara Delevingne as Margo Roth Spiegelman, will be hitting theaters on June 19, 2015 instead of July 31, 2015.
