Fantasy Novel THREE DARK CROWNS to Get Movie at Fox

A movie adaption based on Kendare Blake’s bestselling fantasy novel THREE DARK CROWNS is being made by Fox!

The novel follows the lives of three queen sisters, essentially competing for the throne. They – Katharine, Arsinoe and Mirabella – each live in different parts of the mythical Fennbirn, each has a different power, and each has a different group of supporters aiding them.

The rights to the four-volume fantasy series were acquired by Fox. The feature film will be produced by Shawn Levy‘s 21 Laps.

21 Laps produced the hit Netflix series Stranger Things which won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, and also won the AFI Award for TV Programme of the Year. They can also be credited for the Night at The Museum franchise.

Shawn Levy will produce with Dan Levine. Daria Cercek will oversee for Fox and 21 Laps will be overseen by Natalie Lehmann.

The first book was published in September 2016 by HarperTeen Books. The second book, One Dark Throne is due to be released in September. You can pre-order it now via Amazon.
