The FEAR THE WALKING DEAD mid-season premiere preview teases at new challenges even more new characters.
Showrunner Dave Erickson and executive producer Gale Anne Hurd bring us some new dramatic elements for the crew of the Abigail now that some of them have decided to go their separate ways in the Fear the Walking Dead mid-season premiere preview.
“Now that the world has expanded, we can tell greater stories, we can explore different communities,” Hurd says. “There are now not only more and more infected, but in order to survive, the stakes are even greater.”
If Nick is eating what I think he’s eating, well, that can’t be good. Erickson puts it this way:
“Nick, he’s given up on trying to understand the dead, and death, and his place in the apocalypse.”
Well, that’s depressing, but it is Fear the Walking Dead. Frank Dillane has a more positive spin to his character:
“[Nick] is trying to get to a safe place, or where there might be more people who empathize with the dead, or at least don’t just go around killing them.”
I’m excited for this second half, too know how things are run on the west coast. So I can prepare myself. It’s as much a training video as it is a series, right?
Fear the Walking Dead returns Sunday, August 21st at 9/8c on AMC.
