Check out the Fear the Walking Dead promos and photos for the mid-season finale episode, “Shiva.”
“Shiva” is Fear the walking Dead‘s mid-season finale episode, and you know what that means. More than likely, at least one person is going to die, and maybe even one from the group that we’ve grown to care about. Of course we don’t want it to happen, but it just wouldn’t be a Walking Dead series without major carnage in the mid-season or season enders, right?
Here’s the short official synopsis:
The family faces their biggest test yet; Nick, Madison, Travis and others try to stay close to each other.
Considering how things have been going for the Manawa-Clark family, it doesn’t feel like that’s going to make things any better, what with them living with the slightly left-of-center caretaker Celia (guest star Marlene Forte) and a cellar full of infected. But they have to somehow. Daniel (Ruben Blades) and Ofelia (Mercedes Mason) have their own issues when it looks like Daniel is having trouble with hearing voices and freeze moments.
The title gives a hint at the increasing trouble that is to come, because if “Shiva” is in reference to a certain Hindu god—well, here’s what Fear the Walking Dead’s wikia had in regards to it:
Shiva is known to have untamed passion, which leads him to extremes in behaviour. Sometimes he is an ascetic, abstaining from all wordly pleasures. At others he is a hedonist.
The ascetic/hedonist also has the role of “destroy[ing]the universe in order to re-create it.”
That certainly doesn’t sound good for any of them when the dead living among them, especially in a cellar of the house where you sleep.

Nick (Frank Dillane) finally admits his new “kick,” but how will Madison (Kim Dickens) take this, and what will happen with Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie)? Looking back on that scene with Chris, with knife in hand, in Alicia’s (Alycia Debnam-Carey) bedroom, it doesn’t seem that there was actually an intent to harm either Madison or Alicia, but the timing sure was awful and just put him in a worse predicament. However, that doesn’t mean the boy doesn’t need some kind of help.
