Principal photography wraps for The Fifth Wave as was stated by author Rick Yancey through his Facebook account.
And was also stated by Fifth Wave star Chloe Grace Moretz on her Instagram account:
However, as usual, there’s another part of the movie that needs to be worked on, and that’s post-production. With a movie like this, there’s definitely a lot of work that’s going to be done before its release date, as I’m sure visual effects are needed for many of the scenes. And it doesn’t mean they won’t need the actors to come back to do some reshoots or pick-ups.
But that’s why they have pretty much a whole year to work all that stuff out. And I think that’s plenty of time for the crew to get The Fifth Wave just right, especially for fans of the books.
