Lionsgate has announced that they are teaming up once again with Samsung to provide exclusive access to new content and experiences for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2! If you visit a Best Buy location between October 2-4, 2015 fans can view the never before seen final trailer for Mockingjay Part 2 on the Galaxy Tab S2.
Fans will also be able to get a sneak peek at The Hunger Games virtual reality experience using Samsung Gear VR and check out the new app. If you buy a Galaxy Tab S2, you will be able to download the first three films for free. Go to www.Samsung.com/mockingjay for participating stores.
The Hunger Games Virtual Reality Experience powered by Samsung will premiere in New York City between October 9-11, 2015. The experience is a “6-minute, 360-degree immersive journey through some of the defining moments of The Hunger Games film franchise using the Samsung Gear VR headset. The VR experience takes viewers through Katniss’ journey throughout the The Hunger Games series.”
Lionsgate and Samsung will also present The Hunger Games Tribute Awards which will be held on October 31st at the Samsung Studio Los Angeles. Here’s a little bit about the awards:
The Tribute Awards will honor the best of the series and the internet as voted on by the fans, by recognizing inspired fan art in a variety of categories such as Best Film Parody Video and Best Fan Costume. The Tribute Awards will culminate with a global fan appreciation event at the Samsung Studio Los Angeles on October 31st, where the franchise’s most loyal fans will be acknowledged for their dedication and the cast of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 will reminisce on the series as it comes to an end.
