First CAPTAIN MARVEL photos reveal Carol Danvers, Ronan, and Nick Fury

Take a look at the first official photos of CAPTAIN MARVEL in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Marvel has finally released the first look of Captain Marvel through Entertainment Weekly. The magazine cover features the first female superhero to lead her own movie in the MCU. In the picture, we get to see Carol Danvers -played by Academy Award winner Brie Larson – in full costume, ready to go to the action.

Captain Marvel will take place in the 90’s and it’s set to break the origin-story rules, given that in the movie we’ll already see Danvers having her powers.

In this issue, Larson also talks about the character:

“She can’t help but be herself. She can be aggressive, and she can have a temper, and she can be a little invasive and in your face. She’s also quick to jump to things, which makes her amazing in battle because she’s the first one out there and doesn’t always wait for orders. But the [not] waiting for orders is, to some, a character flaw.”

In addition to the cover, there’s also a set of exclusive photos from the movie, that include Carol alongside her mentor, played by Jude Law, a group of Skrulls led by Ben Mendelsohn, and the return of Ronan the Destroyer, played by Lee Pace, whom we first encountered in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie. We’ll also get to see a younger version of Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, with two eyes!
