Check out the first image from John Green’s cameo in THE FAULT IN OUR STARS, which was ultimately cut from the movie but will be aired during the Night Before Our Stars event!
In the book, Hazel is approached by a young girl who asks about her cannula before the girl’s mother apologizes and rushes her away. For the film, the mom was switched out for a dad played by John Green! The young girl was played by Sophie Guest, who gave John some acting advice:
At some point, the girl playing my daughter [Sophie Guest] said, ‘Would you like some acting advice?’ I said that I would indeed. ‘Three rules,’ she said. ‘Know your lines, be on time, and don’t be nervous.’ I couldn’t ever quite get the hang of the not being nervous part, but I will long remember that girl’s sage and empathetic advice, which applies to more than just acting.”
