SUPERGIRL and THE FLASH have a friendly competition in crossover sneak peek!
The Flash and Supergirl are coming together for one special night of television in late March and now, you can take a look at the action and getting some new details
The first peek comes in the form of a comic book mock-up. Specifically, this is a take on the cover of Superman #199, in which Kara El-Zor’s famous cousin and The Flash go head-to-head.
There’s also a newly released synopsis for the episode, which explains exactly how The Flash comes to National City:
“Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home.”
So it’s settled! Supergirl exists in a different universe than The Flash, Arrow, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.. at least on television! DC’s cinematic universe and television universes don’t intertwine, but if they did, this would explain why there’s a different Barry Allen fighting alongside Superman in the films.
Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg says the episode will also feature some friendly competiton between the two heroes.
“We do have a footrace, which is one of my favorite moments in this episode,” he said. “It’s close.”
The Supergirl / The Flash crossover happens March 28, 2016 on CBS.
