Check out Captain Lorca on the bridge of the U.S.S. Discovery!
CBS’ first streaming service venture, Star Trek: Discovery, has reeled in some very interesting names, including Jason Isaacs as Captain Gabriel Lorca, a Federation Starship captain who has earned a reputation for his tactical military skills.
Entertainment Weekly has a first look photo of Isaacs as Captain Lorca on the bridge of the U.S.S. Discovery. The bridge itself is new to audiences as well, as the bridge seen in the show’s trailer is actually the U.S.S. Shenzou.

It’s hard to see it from looks alone, but we know that Jason Isaacs is an excellent character role from his roles in Harry Potter, The Patriot, The OA, Brotherhood, and more, so we expect he’ll bring something thrilling to the show.
Star Trek: Discovery also stars Sonequa Martin-Green of The Walking Dead, Michelle Yeoh, Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, and more. The show will premiere on both CBS and CBS All Access on September 24, 2017. After the live airing, the second episode will be made available on CBS All Access, and the rest of the season will be released in weekly increments on the streaming service after that.
