Matt Murdock may be alive, but is he the same DAREDEVIL he was before, or is there an even darker side to him? 

For those that followed along in series The Defenders, you already know that Matt Murdock was willing to die to try to save the love of his life, Elektra Natchios. But the world found it hard to give him up, so now he’s back, but how invested is he in his city and in the people that he’s closest to? Is he still Daredevil, or has the title been taken from him?

The trailer above teases that bit of information to the fans without giving too much away. Or at least that’s what we hope, but what is shown is a handful of teases, and the return of Kingpin, one of Daredevil’s most formidable foes.

Missing for months, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) reemerges a broken man, putting into question his future as both vigilante Daredevil and lawyer Matthew Murdock. But when his archenemy Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) is released from prison, Matt must choose between hiding from the world, or embracing his destiny as a hero.

After seeing this trailer, we have a lot more questions, but I guess we’ll just have to wait until a little while longer.

Daredevil season 3 will be available on Netflix starting Friday, October 19th.
