The CW’s THE FLASH gives us the first look at Season 3’s Flashpoint storyline.

A lot happened in Season 2 of The Flash, but the biggest twist of events happened in the last few minutes of the last episode. We all watched in awe as Barry Allen went back in time and saved his mother from being killed. Season 3 will find Barry in a world where his parents are alive and happily together, but everything else has changed.

This season will reflect the unforgettable plot of The Flash comic book story line Flashpoint, where Barry finds himself in an alternate timeline that he created. His mother is alive, but the rest of the world is in chaos. Wonder Woman and Aquaman are at war, and Thomas Wayne has taken up the mantle of Batman. His son, Bruce Wayne, who we all know as Batman, is killed in the alley instead of his parents. The renown thief, Captain Cold, is actually a Central City hero referred to as Citizen Cold.

This is the craziness that Season 3 will be based off, and we could not be more excited. Check out some of the stills that have been released of the upcoming season, hinting at some of the changes.

The Flash Season 3 debuts on Tuesday, October 4th at 8 pm ET on The CW.
