Fox makes changes to movie schedule, including DEADPOOL 2 and MAZE RUNNER: THE DEATH CURE

DEADPOOL 2 has been moved up while MAZE RUNNER: THE DEATH CURE has been moved back in 20th Century Fox’s movie schedule.

20th Century Fox has done some schedule changes for several of its movies set to be released in 2018, including the Deadpool sequel and the third chapter to the Maze Runner series, Maze Runner: The Death Cure.

It was recently announced that 20th Century Fox made several schedule changes for its movies. Deadpool 2, which was originally slated for a June 29, 2018 release under the “Untitled Fox/Marvel movie,” has now been moved up to a June 1 release. There are no other significant movies set to be released that day, giving it the opportunity to be an even bigger money-maker.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure, the third and final movie in the Maze Runner series starring Dylan O’Brien, has had another release date change, from January 12, 2018 to February 9, 2018. This makes it pretty much a movie for those who choose to avoid the romance during the Valentine Day’s weekend. It will have some major competition with the third Fifty Shades movie, Fifty Shades Freed, as well as an untitled Warner Animation movie.

More notable Marvel-related movies are X-Men spinoff New Mutants, which has been bumped from March 2, 2018 to April 13, 2018.  The date change sets the movie against an untitled/unrevealed Universal monster movie (though Pacific Rim: Uprising is scheduled for a February 23 release and the Jurassic World sequel is scheduled for a June 22 release.)

And finally, the other X-Men spinoff Dark Phoenix, centering around Jean Grey (to be reprised by Game of Thrones‘s Sophie Turner,) has been announced to arrive in theaters November 2, 2018.
