Francis Lawrence says the MOCKINGJAY PART 2 trailer isn’t coming anytime soon, but there’s plenty to look forward to.

Francis Lawrence knows that the wait for THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART 2 trailer (or just some promotion in general) is killing fans. He’s quick to dash out the bright hope that we’ll get the trailer soon, but still says there’s plenty to look forward to in the coming months!

In an interview with Collider, Francis Lawrence discussed where the final film is in the post-production process, when the epilogue is set to film, the continuous lack of a trailer, plans for Comic-Con, and his next project after THE HUNGER GAMES ends!

No time to watch? Here’s the cliffnotes:

  • His first cut of the film was 2 hr 50 min but now it’s 2 hr 7 min without credits.
  • There aren’t many deleted scenes.
  • They still have to film the epilogue and the plan is to film in late May. It’s one scene and it’s a few minutes of the movie.
  • He said they’re planning on going to Comic-Con this year. He’s not sure which of the cast is going but the plan is to be there.
  • Don’t expect to see a trailer anytime soon.
  • He’s planning on being at The Hunger Games exhibition in NYC when it opens.
  • He’s developing Odyssey with Lionsgate and it could be his next project.
  • Here’s the interview followed by a time index of the entire conversation.
