Just Jared Jr. has even taken notice! #SpreadtheDeliria has been making it’s rounds, which started picking up last month, upon knowledge that the Delirium pilot was due to Fox TV on April 30th. It’s without question that fans of Lauren’t Delirium trilogy would voice their insistence that Fox pick up the pilot. The really impressive thing is that they’ve had help not only from the actors that are involved in the Delirium work, including Gregg Sulkin, Daren Kagasoff, Emma Roberts, Delon De Metz, and Jeanine Mason, but from the actors’ other actor friends as well!
[boxparagraph]Awkward‘s Brett Davern, Beau Mirchoff, and Jillian Rose Reed, singer Pixie Lott, Pretty Little Liars‘ Lucy Hale, Janel Parrish and Tyler Blackburn, Zelda Williams, Ana Mulvoy-Ten and more have been sending out tweets themselves, telling Fox to pick the pilot up for production for the fall season.

See, among all the craziness that comes out of social media, there’s always the good that goes along with it, fortunately. It certainly helps to have a fan base that’s heavily into Twitter, among other things.
And Lauren, who also is quite familiar with Twitter and Tumblr, had this to say about all the attention her book trilogy and the show is getting:

Writing can be a lonely business. It is often isolating and difficult. Writers are subject to criticism and occasionally to ridicule; they are assailed by self-doubt and burdened with the fear that failure is always just around the corner. Writing is a tremendous leap of faith—it requires the sustained belief that someone, somewhere, will pay attention. That someone will care.
Yesterday, as the Delirium pilot was submitted to Fox TV for their consideration, I was shown just how much people care, and how deeply readers all around the world have connected to the Delirium trilogy. The outpouring of support for the series, led and organized entirely by my fans, was truly mind-blowing. The conversational thread about the Delirium series pick-up trended world-wide on twitter…twice. I’ve never seen such a well-coordinated and truly generous expression of love and support.
So: THANK YOU. I was moved. I was humbled. I was re-inspired and re-motivated. Whatever happens with the TV show, you, my readers, have re-energized me with your passion and your creativity, your zeal and your support. I love you all and am so grateful for you. Keep reading and I will keep writing. Together, we’ll do great things. 🙂
