Disney announces Frozen 2

It was bound to happen.  Not only was Frozen a major success, and I say that as an understatement, it was profitable in every other way.  So it just makes sense that Frozen 2 would happen.  And despite the fact that it’s such a money making move, I’m super excited about this!

The company revealed plans during the Walt Disney Company’s annual shareholders meeting on Thursday from San Francisco.

The first film’s director Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are developing the project.

John Lasseter, chief creative officer at Pixar, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and DisneyToon Studios, made the announcement with Bob Iger.

With Frozen Fever coming out with Disney’s live action retelling of Cinderella this weekend, it’ll be a confirmation in the right direction when people will eventually start talking about how much more they’d want to see of Queen Elsa, Anna, and the people of Arendelle.  Oh, and maybe more of Olaf, too.

So, are you super excited, too?  Let us know in the comments if you think this is a smart move or if Disney is out to take even more from the parents of little Anna, Elsa, and Stefan wannabees.
