Check out the Game of Thrones “Battle of the Bastards” preview and photos, which features a battle to remember.
This Sunday’s Game of Thrones episode 609 is sure to be monstrous in size, and from the “Battle of the Bastards” preview, it most certainly looks like it. The showrunners Dan Weiss and David Benioff have already claimed it to be the largest battle scene that has ever been filmed for the series, so that’s saying something.
We’ve already had some really epic battles in the shows past five seasons, but this battle for Winterfell has been a long time coming, and Ramsay (Iwan Rheon) is due for his comeuppance. Well that’s just what I’m wishing for, I don’t know about all of you, but I’m pretty sure that Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) are on my side. According to the description on IMDB, there will still be other story arcs the episode will hit as we’ll be dealing with what’s going on in Meereen now that Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) has returned.
As the Starks prepare to fight, Davos loses something dear. Ramsay plays a game. Daenerys faces a choice.
The episode was directed by Miguel Sapochnik, who directed two previous Game of Thrones episodes from season 5 – The Gift and the much remembered Hardhomme for which Jon Snow and his men realized how much of a threat the White Walkers truly are.
