Director says GAME OF THRONES’ new favorite ship is indeed canon!
There was a lot to get excited about in the latest episode of Game of Thrones, “Book of the Stranger,” but nothing seemed to make fans quite as giddy as a couple small but pertinent interactions between Brienne of Tarth and Tormund Giantsbane.
With just a few looks between the two, fans are already shipping away. And according to episode director Dan Sackheim, they’re totally right in doing so!
“It was like a fun little bit, but I wasn’t sure it was really clear that he had these amorous feelings for Brienne. I’m always amazed what fans pick up,” he told TV Guide.
But don’t start squeeing over a potential Tarthbane romance quite yet. Sackheim also says that Brienne ins’t on board with this ship yet, even if fans are. But that doesn’t mean there’s hope! “I think it was fairly one-sided, but that’s OK. There’s nothing like a challenge. Men love a challenge.”
