It’s been complete GAME OF THRONES fever lately, and the announcement of its renewal is no surprise!
HBO has announced that smash hit GAME OF THRONES has been renewed for a seventh season. With season six premiering tonight, everyone has been talking about the Emmy-winning show.
What’s interesting is that HBO hasn’t released the number of episodes expected in Game of Thrones season seven. While the number of episodes aren’t usually released with any GoT renewal announcements, it leaves us wondering if the final two seasons will be split, as previously considered by David Benioff and Dan Weiss.
Along with the Game of Thrones news, HBO also announced that Veep has been renewed for a sixth season and Silicon Valley will come back for season four.
Game of Thrones season six premieres tonight. Check out the description below:
“Following the shocking developments at the conclusion of season five, including Jon Snow’s bloody fate at the hands of Castle Black mutineers, Daenerys’ near-demise at the fighting pits of Meereen and Cersei’s public humiliation in the streets of King’s Landing, survivors from all parts of Westeros and Essos regroup to press forward, inexorably, towards their uncertain individual fates. Familiar faces will forge new alliances to bolster their strategic chances at survival, while new characters will emerge to challenge the balance of power in the east, west, north and south.”
