HBO has released the Game of Thrones season 6 first photos which shows everyone… well, everyone who’s alive, that is.  Hint: No Snow.

In these Game of Thrones season 6 first photos, we see that not everyone is having a jolly good time in Westeros and Essos, despite being lucky to be alive.  I mean, they are lucky to be alive, right?  Because we know at least one person who isn’t lucky, because he’s not in one of these photos.

The Wall and North of the Wall

Bran is back!  We finally get back to this arc of the story and find out what’s been going on with Bran (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) after having found the Three-Eyed Raven (Max Von Sydow).  No Jon Snow pictures here, sadly, as D&D keep saying he’s dead, but we do have a Melisandre still hanging about, and a very bitter looking Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham) who is without a king and a friend.

Winterfell and around that general vicinity

No surprise that Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) is not in a happy place, despite having escaped Winterfell.  Obviously, she and Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) survived, but who knows how long they’ll last if they can’t find Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) and Ramsay (Iwan Rheon) gives chase.

The Dothraki Sea and Meereen

There’s that whole other land that is no easier to deal with than Westeros and Daenarys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) would know.  Now it looks like she’s stuck with the Dothrakis again, but not in the Khaleesi position she was in before.  That might be a problem.  With Dany gone, Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) has taken over leadership position in Meereen.  Sounds good, right?

King’s Landing

The rest of the Lannister clan are back together, and sadly, they’ve lost yet another Lannister, this one to those darn Martells, if Cersei (Lena Headey) has anything to say about it.  No doubt she will, maybe even have some words with Jamie (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) yet again.

Braavos and the Iron Islands

And now we must attend to blind Arya (Maisie Williams).  Is she banished from the House of Black & White?  Is she still naming the people on her kill list?  Will she get her vision back or see through other means?

And it looks like Yara (Gemma Whelan) is returning, along with her father Balon (Patrick Malahide).  Who knows for what reason, because it certainly can’t be about Theon.

There’s still a lot to wonder about, of course.  What will happen when the Night’s Watch realize that Jon Snow was right about the White Walkers coming, first of all?  What of the injured Drogon now that Dany has been taken?  And we know we haven’t seen the last of Littlefinger, that conniving weasel.  April won’t come fast enough.
