Veteran actor Garret Dillahunt has been cast for a key recurring role in the upcoming new Fox series THE GIFTED.

Garret Dillahunt, who boasts an impressive list of credentials in supporting character roles, will be adding The Gifted to that list.  Fox’s Marvel drama centers on a family on the run from a hostile government after the parents (Amy Acker and Stephen Moyer) find out that their two teen children (Natalie Alyn Lind and Percy Hynes White) have mutant abilities.

Dillahunt will be a mutant researcher named Roderick Campbell who is contracted by the Sentinel Services. Described by Deadline as “Professorial, intense and intimidating, Dr. Campbell has a morally dubious mission yet to be revealed.”

The Gifted premieres on Monday, October 2 at 9/8c on Fox.
