August 18th is Percy Jackson’s birthday and you can celebrate in style!

Percy Jackson is about to have the most extra birthday party ever!

The J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, CA is planning on celebrating Greek mythology and Rick Riordan‘s beloved series in style on Percy’s birthday, August 18th!

The free event will run from 10am to 5pm, offering up fans an audio tour on Greek mythology, blue snacks, appearances from the gods themselves (as played by a theater company), and of course, an interactive art exhibit filled with mythological fun.

Though it’s free, this event is ticketed, so it you want in, nab your tickets now!

Can’t make it? Well, at least there’s some great ideas for a Percy Jackson celebration of your own in there!

Here’s the official event description from the museum website:

You’re just in time to join the party – it’s Percy Jackson’s birthday! Start with a special audio tour to unravel the mystery of your divine parentage. We know you feel the ichor in your veins. . . Then look out for immortals from Mount Olympus as played by the Troubadour Theater Company. You’ll also discover mythological beasts and beings throughout the Villa in the interactive artworks of Kiel Johnson. Last but not least, don’t forget to sample some blue treats, Percy’s favorite!
