See how a normal family ends up on the run in new trailer for FOX’s THE GIFTED!

The new Marvel X-Men spinoff show The Gifted came to San Diego Comic-Con and left fans a trailer that really helps flesh out the plot of the new show.

The trailer starts with the event that started it all: Andy Strucker (Percy Hynes White) is hazed at a school dance, leading him to fall into a rage that nearly collapses the whole building. Thankfully, his sister Lauren (Natalie Alyn Lind) has some skills of her own and is able to protect them. But there’s a complicated fact as their powers emerge: Their father (portrayed by Stephen Moyer) is the District Attorney prosecuting and jailing mutants.

Together, the conflicted family must join with a rebel sect of mutants in hiding, including Thunderbird (Blair Redford), Blink (Jamie Chung), Polaris (Emma Dumont), and Eclipse (Sean Teale), to keep the children safe from the ruthless government agencies trying to track them down.

We must say, the effects for this one are looking pretty solid for a network television show.

The Gifted is due to premiere on FOX on October 2, 2017.
