Jenny Slate is currently in talks to join Tom Hardy in Sony’s action-thriller VENOM, based on Marvel’s villain-turned-antihero.
It was recently announced that writer/actor Jenny Slate is in negotiations to join Tom Hardy in Sony’s Venom. Nothing has been released about the storyline of the movie (though many fans are hoping to see Carnage in it as well,) but Variety sources say that Slate will be playing a scientist.
Alongside Hardy, Slate will be joining Rogue One‘s Riz Ahmed and The Greatest Showman‘s Michelle Williams. Aside from Hardy, none of their roles have been disclosed as of yet as it’s still too early into pre-production for that kind of information.
Other works by Jenny Slate include award-winning Obvious Child, Disney’s Zootopia as the voice of Bellwether, Netflix’s Big Mouth as the voice of Missy, and The Secret Life of Pets as the voice of Missy.
Venom is currently scheduled for an October 5, 2018 release.
