The Alice counterpart to GOTHAM’s Mad Hatter has been cast!
Earlier this month, Gotham announced a troubled new villain coming to the show: Mad Hatter. The character, which will be played by The Walking Dead‘s Benedict Samuel, goes down a dark path when his sister, Alice, goes missing. Now, the show has also cast Alice, the inspiration for his evildoing.
Naian Gonzalez Norvind will play Alice Tetch on the show and with her casting comes new character development. It turns out that Alice is not necessarily “missing,” but hiding from her twisted brother, Jervis. Alice has powerful abilities that Jervis wants to exploit, so the young woman has spent much of her life hiding from him.
The character is expected to make her debut in the third episode of the new season.
Norvind has experience on the stage and on screen, starring in “Her Requiem” in New York City and earning an award for her breakout movie role in the upcoming indie Everybody’s Got Somebody…Not Me. She is also featured in the upcoming J.D. Salinger biopic Rebel In The Rye.
Gotham Season 3 is currently filming. It will premiere September 19, 2016 on FOX.
