GOTHAM CITY SIRENS Movie Reteams Margot Robbie, David Ayer

SUICIDE SQUAD director returns for Harley Quinn’s spinoff!

Critically, Suicide Squad didn’t get much too much love, but the box office returns were strong enough the Warner Bros. is bringing director David Ayer for their next DC villain adventure!

The director will once again work with Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn in the upcoming Gotham City Sirens. Based on the comics run, Sirens teams Harley up with Catwoman and Poison Ivy for an unknown battle within their city. Though the story line hasn’t been revealed, we’re expecting to see at least a cameo from Batman (Ben Affleck) and The Joker (Jared Leto).

DC has yet to cast Robbie’s co-stars who will take on Catwoman and Poison Ivy.

After Harley Quinn’s intense popularity following Suicide Squad, it’s no surprise that DC Entertainment reportedly pushed this movie ahead of a Deadshot spin-off starring Will Smith that’s also in development, according to THR.

The film hasn’t set a release date yet.
