Gotham will freeze over in the second half of the season!
Things got a bit chilly in the Gotham winter finale, but a new preview is showing how icy cold things will get with the show’s return!
A new preview for the Season 2 return features a hint at Victor Fries aka Mr. Freeze, portrayed by House of Cards alum Nathan Darrow, as a Gotham PD detective’s badge slowly ices over until it cracks– a nice bit of symbolism as to what Victor plans to do to Jim Gordon and his companions!

We’re still not quite sure if Mr. Freeze will be full-on evil when we first meet him upon the show’s return. Kristen Hager was cast as his wife, Nora Fries, which suggests we’ll delve into the character’s tragic backstory before he starts destroying the city, unless we’ll only see Nora in flashbacks.
In addition to the new preview, Gotham has announced new casting for the back end of this season!
The show cast Lori Petty, better known from Orange Is The New Black and as the infamous Tank Girl, as Jeri, “the flamboyant and enigmatic hostess of an underground club where mass murder and art are celebrated in equal measure” who gives Bruce Wayne even more hints as to who murdered his parents, but isn’t one to cooperate with the Gotham police.
Additionally, Patrick “Matches” Malone will be played by Breaking Bad alum Michael Bowen. The character is “One of Gotham’s deadliest killers … a weathered, philosophical hitman who may be the triggerman behind one of the most important crimes in Gotham’s history.”
