Brand new space troubles take over in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL 2 concept art!
Ronan the Accuser is out of the picture, but Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will bring new problems for our unruly band of misfits turned superheroes!
Empire has a look at Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket Raccoon, and an especially adorable Baby Groot fighting an unnamed gnarly space creature that looks like a cross between an octopus and a dinosaur in new concept art.
But seriously, JUST LOOK AT BABY GROOT! He’s so happy!
Of course, the crazy creature isn’t true villain of the story. Most of the gang’s troubles will come courtesy of Elizabeth Debicki‘s alien character Ayesha and Star-Lord’s twisted foster parent of sorts, Yondu, as well as his team of Ravagers.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to fly into theaters on May 5, 2017.
