GoT’s Gwendoline Christie THE DARKEST MINDS

Gwendoline Christie joins the talented cast of Fox’s movie adaptation of Alexandra Bracken’s THE DARKEST MINDS.

No stranger to the YA world, Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie will be working alongside amazing actors like Mandy Moore, and the young, amazing Amandla Stenberg in the sci-fi/dystopian movie, The Darkest Minds. It’s based off the YA book of the same name and is about a young girl with extraordinary powers who escapes with a handful of other teens with extraordinary powers to find a safe haven from the government.

Gwendoline’s role will be that of a villainous bounty hunter who goes in search for them. It should be another fun role for Christie, who already plays for the dark side in the Star Wars saga as Captain Phasma from The Force Awakens, a character that she’ll reprise in The Last Jedi.

Her most well known role is that of Brienne of Tarth in HBO’s Game of Thrones. She also had a role in another YA-based movie, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, where she played Commander Lyme, one of the leaders of the rebellion.

At 6’3″, Gwendoline will definitely make for a formidable foe!

Southern California native who likes movies (Star Wars, Marvel, Love Simon), books (Shadowhunter Chronicles, NA, YA fantasy, Red Rising series), TV shows (Supernatural, The 100), food (sushi, seafood, steak, all kinds really), and San Diego Comic-Con. I also like to write, but don't get to do much of that aside from on here.

About Us

TheFandom.net was launched December 26, 2011 by three fans of The Hunger Games. They had a vision to expand their love of the fandom to other fandoms and this is the result.

Our site is constantly flowing with the times and with the growing popularity of YA books and its relations in TV and movies.
