Harlem’s hero isn’t feeling too heroic in a new look at LUKE CAGE!
You either die the hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain… Wait, wrong franchise. Still, Luke Cage isn’t the beloved hero he once was in the latest clip from Season 2 of his hit Netflix show.
The clip shows Luke walking down the street in Harlem when he’s approached by a few strangers who are none too impressed with him after he took a beating from the new Season 2 villain, Bushmaster. The residents of Harlem are depending on Luke to save the day, but now they have their doubts and they’re not afraid to tell him. Harsh!
The scene even features a reference to Game of Thrones, opening up a bit of a paradox given that this season of Luke Cage Season 2 will feature Loras Tyrell (aka Finn Jones, who plays Iron Fist) and Luke has worked with Nymeria Sand (Jessica Henwick, who plays Colleen Wing) in the past.
Luke Cage Season 2 premieres on Netflix on June 22, 2018.
