Infamous Broadway theater has big plans for HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD!
With a very successful run happening in London’s West End, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is setting its sights on its next location.
According to Variety, the production is about to lock down New York City’s Lyric Theater for a Spring 2018 debut. The theater, which has a rough reputation in the Broadway community after hosting some infamous flops, will reportedly undergo a multi-million dollar renovation before hosting the first American run of the popular play.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child tells the story of Harry’s youngest son, Albus Severus Potter, during his first year at Hogwarts– nineteen years after his dad defeats Voldemort.
After selling out quickly with each new batch of tickets released, a trip to Broadway– with other international venues likely to follow– seemed like a given. But the 2018 date is a bit earlier than expected.
Soooo… Should we just start lining up for tickets now?!
